Richard Terbrusch, 53, of Ridgefield, was killed Saturday, Oct. 13 in a plane crash along with two other people, including the pilot Munidat "Raj" Persaud, the owner of a Danbury flight training company, and Dr. Jennifer Landrum, a teacher at Thomson High School in Georgia.
Terbrusch, a 1983 graduate of John Jay High School in Cross River whose family law practice was in Danbury, left behind his wife, Susan Terbrusch, and his 11-year-old son Grant, who has Autism and requires special care, a GoFundMe page says.
As the sole income provider for the family, Terbrusch's death left the family in need of necessary funds for living expenses as there was no life insurance or any type of savings, his wife said on GoFundMe.
"I appreciate all the love and support from our many friends, colleagues, and caring communities," she said. "My priority is our son Grant who many of you know has Autism and therefore requires special care. Grant and I ask you to support our family by making a donation."
To date, around $5,000 has been raised of a $100,000 goal.
Donations can also be made via GoFundMe or Kane Funeral Home, P.O. Box 459, Ridgefield, CT 06877
